The Norris Innovation Center (NIC) supports and promotes innovation and technology utilization for the benefit of society. The creation of the NIC began with the ideas of William C. Norris, founder, chairman and chief executive of one of the first computer companies in the world, Control Data Corporation. In addition to building a recognized leader in the computer industry, Bill Norris wrote and spoke extensively on the subject of how to find, develop and apply technology and its many implications in our society. His legacy continues with the creation of this website by his son, Roger Norris. Roger is currently Senior Vice President of Dougherty & Co., a financial services company headquartered in Minneapolis, MN.
Visitors to the NIC will find numerous resources to catalyze innovation, including the chronicling and sharing the writings and teachings of Bill Norris, in addition to a continually updated warehouse of information regarding various ongoing innovative technologies and ideas.
